Greshams Law: Bad money drives out good. If a coins containing metal of different value have the same value as legal tender, while those coins made of more expensive metal will be hoaded or exported and thus disapper from circulation.
COPPER is a semi precious metal and a base metal. There have been no significant discoveries of copper in over 100 years. the entire world is running out of copper needed for electricity, plumbing, cable & phone lines.
